Editing an Existing Invoice

This article explains how to edit the information for the entire invoice such as the Date, the Case or the Payer. If you want to change information regarding specific line Items, see "Editing a Line Item in an Existing Invoice".

Be aware that changing the Date, the Case or the Payer will show when printing or emailing the invoice. It will also affect your Reports so use this with care.
The Provider and the Location recorded on the invoice can't be changed. If a mistake has been made regarding these details while generating the invoice, the invoice will need to be voided and a new invoice generated. If you need assistance with these tasks, see "Deleting an Invoice".

Changing the Invoice Date

1. Open the Invoice you want to edit. See "Finding an Existing Invoice" if you need assistance.

2. Click on the Date at the top left of the invoice.

3. Click on the Date you want to show on the Invoice.

4. Click Save.

Chaging the Invoice Case and Payer

You can only change the Case for an Case that already exist in the Client file. If you need assistance creating a new Case, see "Creating a Case".

1. Open the Invoice you want to edit. See "Finding an Existing Invoice" if you need assistance.

2. Click on the Case.

3. Select an existing Case for this client from the dropdown list.

4. Click Next.

5. Select an existing Payer for  this client from the dropdown list.

6. Click Save.

Changing the Invoice Payer Only

You can only change the Payer for a Payer that already exists in the Client file.

1. Open the Invoice you want to edit. See "Finding an Existing Invoice" if you need assistance.

2. Click on the Payer.

3. Select an existing Payer for  this client from the dropdown list.

4. Click Save.
