Creating Clinical Note Templates

Nookal gives you the possibility to create Clinical Note Templates to allow you to write your notes electronically, in a flash.

Below explains how to create Clinical Templates so that you save valuable time everyday.

1. Go to Practice.

2. Click Clinical Templates under Clinical.

Creating a New Template

1. Click Create Template at the bottom right corner.

There are a few default templates in your account. If you want to avoid starting from scratch, you can edit an existing template or if you wish to keep the existing template, you can duplicate the existing Template and edit the copy.

2. Give the Template a Title.

3. Select a Discipline for the Template. Being Specific will help to sort templates at the time of finding the right template to write Clinical Notes.

4. Select the Location for which this Template can be used.

Make sure the Template is saved before leaving it inactive for a few minutes as if it is left unsaved and the connection goes off, all the changes will be lost.

Creating and Editing Fields

1. Click Add Field or click on the label of an existing field for the field to expand.

2. Add a Label.

3. Select the Type of field you want to create out of our various options, click here for more explanations and setup details for each of them.

Reorganising Fields in a Template

You can easily reoganise the order of the fields on a template by draging and droping the fields in the order that you want.

1. Click on the blue arrow in the blue section (and keep the selection).

2. Drag the field up or down.

3. Drop where you want the field to be moved to.

4. Once all the fields are added and organised to your liking, click Save.

Editing an Existing Template

Editing a Template will overwrite the existing Template. If you wish to create a new template slightly different, Duplicate the Template before editing one of them.
Editing a Template will not affect Clinical Notes previoulsy written using the Template.

1. Select the template in Practice > Clinical > Clinical Templates.

2. Click Edit Template.

3. Edit the Template and click Save once done.

Duplicating a Template

1. Select the template in Practice > Clinical > Clinical Templates.

2. Click Duplicate Template.

3. Edit the Template and click Save once done.

Deleting a Template

1. Select the template in Practice > Clinical > Clinical Templates.

2. Click Delete Template.

Deleting a Template is irreversible.
Deleting a Template will not affect Clinical Notes previously written with the Template.
