The New NDIS Plan and Quote functionality makes it easy to manage a client’s NDIS budget in Nookal.
If you're already using the NDIS Integration, you can now create and customise quote templates, build plans, request approvals, and once approved, automatically add the quote amount to the client’s budget. Plus, with support for the Third Party reporting tool, you can now bulk approve multiple quotes in one go.
Read below to discover how to Create Templates for NDIS Plans and Quotes in Nookal.
Before you start!
To enable NDIS Plans and Quotes head along to Setup > Extensions > Advanced > Nookal's Innovation Hub > Configure.
From there find Third Party & NDIS Quotes in the list of New Innovations > Toggle to Enabled.

Building the NDIS Quote Template
1. To begin building the NDIS Quote, click on an Element from the right-side menu and Drag and Drop it onto the blank form. At minimum, the template should include:
- an NDIS Table element, which can optionally have preset items added
- at least one Approval element.
2. After adding Approval elements, click Customise to reorder the Sequence of Approval by dragging and dropping the sections. Please note, this can still be changed when finalising an individual quote.
3. In the Customise section, the Patient Approval element has an option of Support Coordinator. If this is enabled, the contact selected on the individual quote will be the one receiving the approval requests, providing their approval and signature, and receiving any confirmations sent.
Hot Tips
The Plan Manager Approval element doesn’t require a Signature. This is because you can choose to email the Quote and Plan to the Plan Manager without requiring their approval. This is set by enabling the Send Email and Attachment option, and disabling the Approver option in the Plan Manager Approval element.
4. If a large number of items are required, then you will need to add multiple NDIS Table elements to the template.
5. We also recommended adding the Header and Plan Details elements, however they aren’t required.
Use the Preview toggle to see the appearance of the final Quote Template.
Hot Tips
Preselecting items within your templates can streamline the process of creating plans and quotes. However, each quote remains fully customisable on an individual level — you can add new items, remove any preset items, or even delete entire tables if your template includes multiple.
7. Click Save to capture any changes to the template prior to using it.
