Alerts are the best way to notify staff of something important regarding a Patient (e.g. severe allergy, bad debt, relevant unusual behaviour, etc). The Alerts will be shown on all Patient appointments and in the Patient Profile under Alerts. There are two ways to add Alerts. See below for details.
Before you start...
Alerts will display on every appointment for the Patient. Appointments for Patients with Alerts will be outlined in red.
When hovering over the appointment, the Alert will be visible in a red box.
Adding an Alert from an Appointment in the Calendar
1. Click on the Patient's Appointment in the Calendar.
2. In the appointment window that opens, if using Classic View write the appropriate details in the Alert Notes field.
3. Click Save.
4. Click Close once Updates successfully saved is displayed.
Hot Tips
If opening appointments in Fresh View, click Add Alert at the top of the appointment window:
Then write the Alert and click the Tick icon to save:
The Alert will appear at the top of the appointment in red and can be edited or removed using the Pen icon:
All past and future appointments for this Patient will now be outlined in red with a red flag in the bottom right corner. The note will also be visible under the Patient Name in the appointment box.
Important!
You might need to refresh your Calendar for the note and red outline to appear on the corresponding appointments.
When booking a future appointment for this Patient, the Alert will be displayed at the top of the appointment window.
Adding an Alert from the Patient Profile
1. Navigate to the Patient Profile.
2. Write the relevant information in the Alerts field.
3. Click Save Changes.
When booking a future appointment for this Patient, the Alert will be displayed at the top of the window.
All past and future appointments for this Patient will now be outlined in red with a red flag in the bottom right corner. The note will also be visible under the Patient Name. The note will also be displayed on any appointment booked in the future.
