You can now add an addition diagnosis or change the original diagnosis entered on an existing ACC Claim. Read on to find out how!
Before you Start!
You will need to have Setup an ACC Case and have a New Claim showing an Approved Status before you can Add or Change the Diagnoses.
Adding A Secondary Diagnosis
1. Go into the Clients Profile, by Searching for the Client and clicking on their Name.
2. Click on Cases from the left hand menu, and select the relevant Case.
3. Under the ACC Payer Select the Claim the addition/change relates to.
4. To Add an Additional Secondary Diagnosis click on + Button under Diagnosis.
5. Select Read Code for the first dropdown menu, then Select the appropriate Read Code in the second field.
6. Select which side of the body the new Diagnosis applies to.
7. Select Secondary Diagnosis.
8. When you are happy with the details selected, click the Add Diagnosis button to submit the new Diagnosis to ACC.
9. Repeat steps 4 to 8 to add further Secondary Diagnoses.
The new Diagnosis will be shown in the Claim Details window.
Changing the Primary Diagnosis
Navigate to the Client's Claim by following steps 1 to 3 above.
Important!
You can only have ONE Primary Diagnosis per Claim. Submitting multiple Primary Diagnosis will result in ACC Rejecting the Diagnosis Change.
1. Delete the existing Primary Diagnosis by clicking on the X to the top right of the Diagnosis.
2. Now Add the new Primary Diagnosis by clicking the + button.
3. Select Read Code from the first dropdown menu, then Select the appropriate Read Code in the second field.
4. Select which side of the body the new Diagnosis applies to.
5. Select Primary Diagnosis.
6. When you are happy with the details selected, click the Add Diagnosis button to submit the new Diagnosis to ACC.
The new Diagnosis will be shown in the Claim Details window.
